Jason CapoAlaska native medical center 4315 Diplomacy DriveAnchorageAK99508(907) 729-160011) We were sent to Dr Capo because our doctor (the only one in Alaska that I knew of) was going out of town for three weeks. I was SUPER nervous about seeing someone I knew nothing about but he casted our son for three weeks and he did an amazing job. Our son was ready for the tenotomy when we left him. Great and personable doctor. I don't think our insurance would let us continue to see him since he works at the local native Alaskan hospital, so we went back to our first doctor when he came back.

Kenneth C. ThomasAnchorage Fracture & Orthopedic Clinic3831 Piper Street, Suite S-220AnchorageAK99508(907) 563-314531) Treated our lcf and performed tenotomy. Don’t like his personality, but he has taken care of our baby.

Mandy Brooks, NPClinic 11 Children’s of Alabama1600 7th ave S Birmingham, ALBirminghamAL35501(205) 638 400011) Lots of swelling after tenotomy which was done by Dr. Conklin. Never had selling or issues with previous casts. Was told to stop bracing at 3 years and developed relapse. Went on to be recasted by non-physicians and given an AFO. My sons foot turns in slightly and he trips quite a bit.

Michael ConklinChildrens Hospital of Alabama - Birmingham1208 3rd Ave SBirminghamAL35233(205) 638 7500111) He has been monitoring us since we entered boots and bars (prior doctor moved). Great bedside manner. Very attentive.
2) We completed 3-4 weeks of casting and not enough improvement had been made, so he received his second tenomoty on both feet. After a further 3 weeks of series casting, there still was not enough improvement and my sons ankles were starting to break down and were very red and agitated and he kept complaining of pain more often. He was still casted a 4th time and we were told there was a possibility of bony growth in the ankle causing the foot to not be able to flex properly. After a night of endless screaming, the cast was removed to find that the gauze was stuck to my sons oozing sore on his ankle that the over casting caused. After everything was said and done, the doctor was very short mannered with us. We are currently seeking alternative doctors. (closest ortho; casting + tenotomy)

Scott DoyleChildren's Hospital of Alabama1600 7th Avenue South BirminghamAL35233(205) 638 914611) He always listened to my concerns, and had a wonderful staff of nurses and cast technicians.

Sharon MayberrySt Vincent’s, Orthopedics for kids 2660 10th Ave S, suite 107BirminghamAL35205(205) 933-858821) She is very knowledgeable and strictly follows ponseti protocol.
2) Dr. Mayberry has treated our daughter for 10 years. Our daughter's foot is healthy and strong. She followed the Ponseti method.

Steven BuckleyThe Orthopedic Center Huntsville (TOC)927 Franklin St SE #4Huntsville AL35801(256) 539-272811) Dr. Buckley ordered AFOs and BNB for our baby while his feet were still very obviously turned inward. He refused to consider trying a tenotomy after 8-ish unsuccessful casts, and scoffed at us like we were ridiculous for suggesting it. He stated that it would be fine to do trial and error and just go back to casting if he had issues with BNB. Very rude bedside manner and treated us like our concerns were silly and comical.
14
Adam J. HandwergerThe Orthopaedic Group, P.C.1720 Spring Hill Ave #100MobileAL36604(251) 476-505031) We love Dr Handwerger. But, we have had about 25 sets of cast and 2 tenotomies before she was 8 months old. We are in BNB right now at almost 9 months old. Her foot is still not in neutral position but they are a lot better than they were. We are going to get a second opinion from a doctor in Birmingham. I am praying that dr handwerger has finally got us on the right track. He is really a great doctor. He has a very dry humor so some parents may not like him, but we do. So do a lot of other people around the area. I will come back to review again once we are closer to correction and/or if something changes.
2) Dr. Handwerger did a great job for my daughter. He explained the whole process in detail and was really helpful with questions. We made it through the casting stage and the 23 hour BNB, now we’re in night- and nap time and it’s going great.
3) All around amazing, understanding and him and his team do great with babies and older people. Answered all my concerns and would ask questions when I called the office. (found via gynecologist; casting + tenotomy)

Betsy AronsonArkansas Children's Hospital1 Children's WayLittle RockAR72202(501) 364-110011) My child has a mild case of LCF. Betsy put us in one cast for one week and then BNB for one month. My child’s foot in not fixed and the BNB comes right off with heel not in the window.

Brien RabenhorstArkansas Children's Hospital1 Children's WayLittle RockAR72202(501) 364-110021) Follows Ponseti Method. When Markell boots didn't work out and there were a few days in between getting new Mitchell boots he recasted, as he knew total correction was necessary for bnb.
2) He's a young doctor, but has always known how to proceed in treatment. My son had a minor LCF that only required 3 weeks of casting and no surgery. We've been very diligent in bracing and as he approaches his 4th birthday is wrapping up bracing. We make the 3 hour drive from NWA to see him.
19
Scott SchoenleberArkansas Children's Hospital1 Children's WayLittle RockAR72202(501) 364-110011) We are on cast #4 and no issues so far. He seems very knowledgeable and is kind. I’ll update once we get further along in our treatment but great progress so far! (casting)

Adrienne KoderArkansas Children’s Northwest
2601 Gene George BlvdSpringdaleAR72762(479) 309-539111) She’s a young doctor, but she follows the Ponseti Method. She’s straightforward and thorough with her explanations of what is going on with the baby’s treatment. Answered all of our questions and more - even went above and beyond and caught the hip dysplasia that the pediatrician had missed.
2) Dr. Koder is fantastic. She has a great demeanor and is straight to the point with each visit. She uses the Ponseti method. Our baby corrected quickly without any trouble or complications from casting. The staff at ACNW is also friendly and helpful. She starts with the Ponseti bar for young children, but they can move to the Dobbs bar once they are a little older. (via OBGYN referral; skilled at Ponseti method; casting + tenotomy) 08.2023

Ryan MillerBanner Children's Specialists Pediatric Orthopedics1432 S Dobson Rd #304MesaAZ85202(480) 412-740031) Cannot be more grateful to have had Dr. Miller as our orthopedic doctor. He trained with Dr. Ponseti and he was always friendly and educated us along the way. We got our son casted when he was 5 days old and is now 3.5 years old. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and the care that was provided to him/us.
2) Dr Miller did the Ponseti method correctly, was easy to communicate with and my daughters foot looks amazing. He reassured me when it came time for tenotomy that it was no big deal and my daughter was in good hands. Some might think he comes across pompous or cocky (I did at first) but he is a great guy and did a wonderful job. I later changed my mind that he was just confident and knew what he was talking about which I love. My girl is 6 months and in 23 hour BnB right now. (via pediatrician; skilled in Ponseti method; casting + tenotomy)
3) This doctor is amazing, he met with my fiancé and I while I was still pregnant and found out our son had a clubbed foot. He was very reassuring through the process and has given us a lot of credit for saying strict with our sons routine and using his boots and bar appropriately. (via Google; skilled in Ponseti method; casting + tenotomy + 1 year follow up)

Mohan V. Belthur
Official Ponseti Doctor
Phoenix Children's Hospital1919 E Thomas RdPhoenixAZ85016(602) 933-3033211) Issues with tenotomy procedure; sought 2nd opinion
2) Although bedside manner can be stern he is a great, well-knowledgeable doctor on clubfeet. My daughter has some special considerations and he is working to figure these out
3) He has bad bedside manner but otherwise great at treating clubfoot (1 year, current doctor)
4) I like Dr Belthur. He is very to the point (no chitchat) but also patient and willing to answer whatever questions you have. He did a great job with casting and Ponseti method for our child (who is still getting annual checkups). He airs on the side of overcaution in our experience as well. Melissa Esparza Phoenix Children's Hospital1919 E Thomas RdPhoenixAZ85016(602) 933-303311) She always listened to us and never rushed us. Everyone that works in This dept was so professional, understanding and made
You feel at ease. She really did an amazing job through the whole process. (bracing + tenotomy + follow-up)
2) Dr. Esparza has been amazing. She is very kind and knowledgeable. She used the Ponseti method. The only difference was she used soft casts. At Phoenix Children's, this is what all orthopedic doctors use as they have found the children are happier with it. We had 5 casts done and then the last cast while his tenotomy healed. Dr. Esparza responded to all my questions and concerns quickly. Even responded to an email I sent her at 10pm one night. She really wants to help us as the parents feel comfortable. She always fits us into her schedule and never made us go extended time without seeing her.
I had a concern about my son's toes not having enough room to move. She worked him in that day just to be sure he was good. She felt the picture I sent her was fine but said she prefers to be particular during this stage and wanted to see my son in person to make sure his toes had enough space in his cast.
She has a team of people that help ensure everything is running smoothly. They have a nurse that comes in while the baby is being casted and helps to ensure baby is not receiving excessive stress during the visit. They will play music for the baby or bring out a shusher. They also are they to console the parents or help answer any questions while the doctor is casting the baby.
I have had such a wonderful experience. My son had no slipped casts, was never in pain, never had skin issues etc. Everything went smoothly and was clear of what to expect from the beginning. I honestly recommend phoenix children's hospital to anyone in Arizona. They have been an amazing team during this difficult time. (via hospital recommendation; skilled in Ponseti method; casting + tenotomy)

Maegen J. WallaceChildren's Hospital & Medical Center Omaha111 N. 84th St.OmahaNE68114 (402) 955-6300321) Relapse Specific: she wanted to treat 4 yo relapse case with short leg casts and Achilles lengthening procedure that would include more invasive complete cut and sutures.
2) She tries to manipulate the feet too fast causing too much pain for the child. The cast are too tight. She also allows nurses and other doctors to do the casting.
3) We were recommended to her by my pediatrician when he was 1 day old. Started casting at 8 days old. Her and her team are so kind to my son and patient. She is very matter of fact but still has good bedside manner. Her nurses are awesome people as well and have always gone above and beyond to make our appointments quick, easy, and as painless as possibly. Definitely recommend.
4) Meagan and Brian were both amazing. My sons one foot took its time correcting and they didn't rush it. They advised going to fast would cause bigger issues down the road. Meagan was always very understanding we lived 3.5 hours away and even made them fit us in early one day so we could get back home before a huge snowstorm hit us. (via NICU; skilled in Ponseti method; casting + tenotomy)
5) We have had a very positive experience with Dr. Wallace. She has always been very straightforward and honest. She is very friendly and we have had no issues! (via pediatrician; skilled in Ponseti method; casting + tenotomy)

Kent A. Vincent
Official Ponseti Doctor
Children's Orthopedic Specialists1605 E River Rd #101TucsonAZ85718(520) 296-543721) He was trained by Dr Ponseti himself. He answered all my questions before I could even ask them. When at the store strangers asked me what happened to my daughter and after I said clubfoot the lady behind asked if we were seeing him because he is the best. That woman was a NICU nurse. He's so friendly and kind on top of being so knowledgeable. Even when he had a med student there for teaching and training. He felt everything with the cast to ensure it was positioned properly after the student did the work. I'm used to being practiced on but not my kids. So this really comforted me while he was still able to teach the future of medicine.
2) This doctor was trained directly under Dr Ponseti and followed his prescribed procedure exactly like Ponseti. He did not use anesthesia and uses local anesthetic. Only thing is he would not prescribe the Cunningham brace due to lack of research so I had my pediatrician get the scrip. Even though there is now greater than 10 years of research I hope this brace becomes available for kids who can’t tolerate the brace. John WiemannUniversity Orthopedics Association604 N Magnolia Suite 100 Clovis, CA 93611Fresno/ClovisCA93611(559) 320-053111) We just got done with our casting and tenotomy and I'm very happy with him! We haven't had to deal with any complications and he has several pediatric clubfeet patients a day - according to him. He does all the castings, along with help from his technicians. When we went in for the consult he passed with flying colors when I asked him all the questions from clubfoot cares questionnaire: https://www.clubfootcares.org/questions-for-your-doctor . He also does do tenotomys without anesthesia. He uses the small clubfoot blade and glue not sutures. We decided for it because our daughter was a fighter during castings and he was very supportive of all our decisions. Our daughters casts never slipped and never got swollen. The casts were lightweight soft casts - told to remove an hour before each new cast - and it didn't hurt her skin at all. Dr. Wiemann is also open to ADMs (along with other alternatives to BNB) for night time wear, when we eventually get there. I'm very very happy with my daughter's progress. She had bilateral clubfeet and is about to go in BNB 23/7 wear.

Emory C. He's very friendly and good with children. I've had no issues with him treating my son, he's done excellent job with casting and he performed my sons tenotomy with no problems or issues arising. His team that works with him is also very excellent and he has always been patient and gentle with my son. No problems with casts slipping.
2) Excellent bedside manner, no slipped casts, no issues with tenotomy went very smoothly and team responds fast when I message them any questions and when I ask for the referral for my son to get a new size in his brace. (casting + tenotomy + 1 year follow-up)
3) Dr. Chang is very good at explaining everything, answers all questions, no slipped casts, staff answers messages in a timely manner, makes getting the next size up boots fairly easy (via hospital referral; skilled in Ponseti method; casting + tenotomy + 1 year follow up)

Oussama AbousamraChildren’s Hospital of LA4650 Sunset Blvd Los Angeles CA90027(323) 660-245011) Clubfoot baby is now on his 4th casting stage and there is no difference in the feet. He put him in a short cast the first time, the 2nd and 3rd time were long casts, and the 4th time he is back in a long cast and for two weeks. My child’s foot is purple and bruised and no changes. The dr also laughs at me when I ask him questions concerning my child’s foot.

2) The doctor is not using Ponseti’s method correctly. The casts were soft. My child had multiple slipped casts, my concerns were brushed off, the doctor is not always available for the appointment or to answer questions. Most of the time, the PA was doing the casting, not even Dr.Bent. (via friend recommendation; not skilled at Ponseti method; casting) 09.2023

Childrens Hospital Los Angeles4650 Sunset Blvd.Los AngelesCA90027(323) 361-7331111) My son has BCF and started treating at CHLA at 1 week old. He had multiple slipped casts and one cast actually fell off completely. We only saw Dr. Goldstein twice during our 6+ visits. Every time we saw her, she was not very personable and when we asked her questions, she did not have much to say besides generic responses. No details about anything. Would not recommend her. Being busy is not an excuse when treating any patient. If you're busy, then stop accepting new patients.
2) I feel like she cares, she takes her time with my son and gives me real honest advice (found via hospital recommendation; deviates from Ponseti method; casting)

Jennifer WeissKaiser Permanente4760 Sunset BlvdLos AngelesCA90027(323) 783-4011121) Slipped cast caused complex foot. Doctor did not admit to issue with foot. Claims trained with Ponseti, 13 year experience, "headed CF dept at Children's Hospital LA". Another person I know had the exact same experience. We are both now having our children seen by Dr. R.
2) She was nice, but didnt really give us alot of info on clubfoot. We googled everything ourselves. Also for every appt the Dr and staff seemed to always rush us out and not really want to talk about our concerns or just brush away our concerns completely. My child is bilateral clubfoot, for one or 2 of the casts she corrected my childs right foot from the middle of the foot instead of at the ankle which made it a bit complex and one of the casts slipped just a tiny bit. When we asked her about the creases on my daughters right foot she said she wasn't concerned and denied it becoming complex. Also sent us to Hangers clinic which is clueless on Clubfoot treatment. She has corrected other children and we heard good things about her but we had to seek a 2nd opinion for our child.
3) Does not follow the exact Ponseti method. Uses fiberglass casts, the casting process is tailored to the child’s defect, allows parent to remove the cast to allow for a bath the night before a visit, visits are rushed, make sure to read after visit notes carefully, this is where you will get all of the important information you need to know. (work at the hospital and was referred to her; trained via Iowa but deviated from Ponseti method; casting + tenotomy)

Thu-Ba LeBaValley Children's Hospital9300 Valley Children's PlMaderaCA93636(559) 353-300011) Dr. Leda was always in a hurry. She usually let her nurse cast my son’s feet. One time they didn’t even cast his ankle right, the top part of the casting stayed on but the foot part came off. On several occasions my sons cast would slip, then after nine casting I noticed he started getting developing complex clubfoot. After I got a second opinion I changed doctors. Dr. Leda was always to busy for my son and she never caught my son’s complex clubfoot.
2) My doctor was very supportive throughout my sons treatment. Any concerns or questions I had were always addressed. Anytime I emailed she always answered back the same day. (via pediatrician; casting + tenotomy)

Southern California Foot & Ankle Specialists27800 Medical Center Rd #110Mission ViejoCA92691(949) 364-9255101) Dr R has a true passion for treating clubfoot patients. Wonderful bedside manner and took the time to explain treatment and the condition in great detail. Warned of possible setbacks and how to prevent them. I have never heard a single negative experience from her patients.
2) Dr. R is the best. We've been with her for almost 4 years and as my son grows, we change his approach. I trust Dr. R's knowledge and recomendations. Her bedside manner is impeccable. She always says that if she can't treat it, she will help look for who can.
3) Amazing doctor who uses the Ponseti Method. We came to her after my baby’s doctor only used 3 casts and left my baby without casts for almost 2 months before her surgery. Dr Rodriguez took her in the following week after her 3 led cast was removed and her feet had already relapsed. She put 3 more casts on my baby and her tenotomy done before the time she would’ve had surgery with previous doctor. She gave us donated boots so we wouldn’t have to purchase them and communicated with us every day after bnb started to make sure baby was doing great and asked for pictures every day to check on her feet (via own research; skilled in Ponseti method; casting + tenotomy)
4) She truly cares. Follows ponsetti to a t. She trained under him! Dr. Rodriguez make sure we knew what was going to happen every step of the way and took her time making sure our son would be comfortable in the cast, but have an excellent outcome. Clearly explains the process and does casting herself (I'm told sometimes her PA does the casting if she's out of town, but we've never had that). She's informed about childs other problems and happy to coordinate treatment with other specialists (since that other treatment required anesthesia, which itself required no cast).

Dr. Nguyen had a physical therapist and a physicians assistant cast my son on two separate occasions. She placed the cast on my son 5 out of the 7 times. 21) child with arthrogryposis and hip out of socket. Dr. Young was very informative with treatment and surgeries. We were recommended him by another orthopedic Dr. that we first seen as a diagnosis visit. He was easy to get a hold of and gave us his personal cell number. Dr. used Ponseti method but my daughter had a few more cast then they would like before her tenotomy surgery. We also seen Dr. Frick a few times when Dr. Young was off for the week. My daughter was also born with a dislocated knee and hip out of socket. Dr. Young did the casting and surgery for her knee. She hasn’t really had a chance to strengthen her knee going directly to the Ponseti cast after surgery. She just started boots and bar. (skilled in Ponseti method; casting + tenotomy) 04.2024

Amy Duckworth Kaiser Roseville Medical Center1600 Eureka RdRosevilleCA95661(916) 784-400021) Great bedside manner, and competent technique. Tetonomy on my son needed to be repeated, and we chose a different doctor to do this- however if it hadn’t been for other significant health issues we were dealing with concurrent to our CF treatment, I don’t think we would have needed to make a change. (casting + tenotomy)
2) Casting went well and we had no slipped casts or issues with the casting process, Very rushed bedside manner, did not take time to explain procedures and brushed off my questions, does not thoroughly follow Ponseti method, recommended ending bracing early and told us that standard practice was 20 hrs per day of bracing, was not knowledgeable about bracing issues and referred us to the outsourced bracing company to troubleshoot our many issues with BnB, does no yearly check up appointments. After bracing for 1 month she told us that she wouldn't see us again until 4 years old unless I have an issue and request an appointment. (via pediatrician; deviates from Ponseti method; casting)

Joel LermanShriners Hospitals for Children — Northern California2425 Stockton Blvd.SacramentoCA95817(916) 453-2000111) We experienced 13 sets of casts with two slipped casts, both were post tenotomy and they led to complex condition. My son had to have two failed tenotomies on his left foot before Dr. L admitted he was stumped and then recommended a PMR surgery as his final attempt at correction (outdated and invasive surgery). Went for second opinion and discovered major errors had been made by the doctor himself while holding my sons feet during casting. Dr. Morcuende in Iowa was able to correct my sons feet in 4 casts and no surgery.
2) He has always discussed the best treatment for my son and ensured the best care at the facility by himself and all of the staff that assisted with his casting, surgery, and bracing. (skilled in Ponseti method; casting + tenotomy + 3 years follow up)

Maya E. PringRady Childrens Hospital Orthopedics and Scoliosis Center3030 Childrens WaySan DiegoCA92123(858) 966-6789221) She has shown amazing care towards our daughter from day one in the NICU. My daughter has Spina Bifida as well, and with knowing this, she is in contact with her neurologist throughout every appointment to ensure she is given the best treatment for her case. Her surgery (tenotomy) went well and we couldn’t be more pleased with her abilities as a doctor. We drive nearly 2 hours every visit to see her because she is amazing.
2) Caused complex features on clubfoot
3) My baby’s left club foot was NOT treated correctly by Dr.Pring and was made into a complex foot. She proceeded to boots and bars after diagnosing it as an atypical clubfoot and the actual Doctor didn’t do much of the casting, it was all done in the “casting room” the actual dr was not there or present in 80% of my baby’s appointments. She would pop in here and there to check on him. There were so many red flags that as a first time mom i didn’t recognize. Please look into an actual clubfoot doctor
4) Dr Pring was very caring & has been very helpful throughout my daughters treatment. She answered all our questions & responded to emails between visits right away. She personally performed all of my daughters casting with help from an ortho tech. She arranged for our brace place to be at the last appt before the tenotomy so they could measure my daughters feet & have the braces at her next appt.

Mauricio SilvaUCLA Luskin Children’s Clinic Santa Monica 1225 15th StreetSanta MonicaCA90404(424) 259-6593311) We have been going to De. Silva since the beginning of treatment. We followed the Ponseti method and so far, everything has been wonderful. Both hie and his staff have wonderful bedside manner and are always accommodating if you need to go in before you’re scheduled appointment. We are in 14 hours wear right now and so far so good! Cannot day enough wonderful things about him!
2) "The doctor is Ponseti trained. He is very detail oriented and does the process by himself. He gives time and patiently performs the casting. We are very pleased with Dr. Silva and would recommend him.
Pro tip : parents must do their homework before seeing any doctor and never be afraid to ask questions and speak up if you think you don’t like something. Personally, I was prepared to speak up if I would have seen someone else touching my babies feet other than Dr.Silva to do the casting. "
3) Attention to fine details. Great at casting, great follow ups. Never had issues. He is usually teaching students when we visit so we learn more as well and trust his experience. (via own research; trained directly via Iowa/Dr Ponseti; casting + tenotomy + 1 year follow up)
4) Had concerns regarding my son walking on the outside of his foot and completely disregarded everything I said. Asked for a referral to PT and said I didn’t need one and was not necessary. Felt rushed and dismissed every time I spoke to him, as if he could care less about a parent's concerns. I see my son everyday, he should take my feedback seriously. Gaia GeorgopoulisChildren’s Hospital Colorado (Aurora)13123 E 16th AveAuroraCO800451 (800) 624-655341) No problems at all so far. Prenatal consult was informative and balanced. Mostly Followed Ponseti method- 4 plaster casts and one fiberglass (?) cast after tenotomy. Tenotomy done under local anesthesia. BNB 23 hrs for 3 months, 18 hrs, 16 hours until walking (or as close as possible). 12 hour wear until age 5. Haven’t experienced any yet, but said she was willing to recast as many times as necessary to avoid surgery in case of relapse. Great support team; can get any questions answered quickly.
2) Uses strict Ponseti method , great communication, and overall great experience. (via friend; skilled in Ponseti method; casting + tenotomy + 2 years follow up)
3) Dr Georgeopolus has amazing bedside manner. Sometimes she might seem a little brusque but she's simply straightforward but she will answer any and all questions and spends as much time as needed with each child and family. She examines the foot in depth, and has her medical students do the same. There is almost always a doctor or staff observing and listening and they always ask if we are comfortable with letting someone else cast. We always declined because we wanted to ensure the most skilled hands were treating our children. We first saw Dr G with our son who has unilateral right club foot. His treatment went amazing. Every casting went perfect with zero issues. Tenotomy was done in office with local anesthetic and lasted like five minutes. He had a three week cast and then went into bnb. All casting is plaster. Around ten months my son stopped tolerating bnb due to having night terrors (a form of sleep walking). Dr G prescribed the ADM in hopes we could get him into some bracing. He didn't tolerate this either. At two he relapsed and had to have two new casts. Then he went back into nights in the ADM and he's been doing amazing since.

We then switched to Dr G with our daughter after Dr Shaw made her complex. Dr G listened to all my concerns and could see what we saw with her toe shrinking back and her arch and medial crease getting worse. Dr G used plaster casts and we had to start casting over. She worked first on correcting the arch and lengthening the big toe. She followed the modified Ponseti method for complex feet and even did extra research to make sure she was doing it properly. We did have one slipped casts which I think was merely part of the learning curve because after that we had no issues. I was willing to keep sticking it out and it worked out fine. After tenotomy we went into bnb. Dr G also agreed to keep my daughter's foot at 45° derotation in accordance with research that showed a high risk of secondary deformity in atypical feet if kept at the customary 70°. After a year Dr G has agreed to let my daughter try the ADM to help with sleep. Highly recommend.
Dr G also makes sure to exhaust all non surgical means before considering any major surgery. (via own research; skilled in Ponseti method; casting + tenotomy + 2 years follow up)
4) Informative, knowledgeable and practiced strict Ponseti method. The children’s hospital and orthotics group is top notch. (via own reesarch; Trained with a doctor who had trained directly with Dr Ponseti or in Iowa City; casting + tenotomy + 3 years follow up) 04.2024

2) Dr Shaw used soft casts. I expressed my concern but he assured me it would be fine. He was very abrasive and spent less than ten minutes in the room with me each casting. My daughter had an atypical club foot, which I didn't know but Dr Shaw KNEW she had an atypical foot. Her first cast slipped and he blamed it on it foot and a "fluke". A PT then recasted her twice (first one immediately slipped) and then Dr Shaw recast her a 4th time. I don't recall how many more times we had a slipped casts. I think one or two more times. But I foolishly tried to trust him. More red flags popped up when he started saying he needed to do her tenotomy early and then continue with more casting in order to get results for her foot. This wasn't right, our experience with my son was completely different and I began to notice her big toe was shrinking back in the cast. I consulted with our prior doctor in Denver and switched care. Dr Shaw then freaked out and called my daughter's pediatrician multiple times "demanding" to speak to her about my child. I even received several calls from children's asking why we had stopped care even though I was perfectly clear about why I was cancelling the surgical appointment when I did so. 100% do not recommend. He made my daughters foot complex and his ego is apparently too fragile and can't handle being told he's a bad doctor. (via pediatrician; deviates from Ponseti method; casting)

He follows the ponseti method for treatment. He has always been very informative, professional, and makes our son feel comfortable at all visits. He listens to parents concerns and address the concerns. My son has done amazing under Dr. Booker!
2) child with arthogriposis. Booker is great for simple cases. If you have a complex case he is not the surgeon for you. He did make one foot complex and put us in a brace when the feet were not fully corrected. (via Facebook; deviates from Ponseti method; casting + tenotomy) 08.2023
3) Dr Booker uses Ponseti method and is very “by the book” when it comes to treatment. He’s personable, helpful, and takes the time to address all concerns and talk through various options if applicable. He came to see my daughter in the NICU when she was just 2 days old to start talking about treatment but told us to wait until she was a little older (3 months) to start because of her size and knowing she’d likely need a tenotomy and wanted to wait until she was a little older. He walked us through every step of the process during each appointment and gives thorough notes and instructions on our medical record. Children's Hospital of Colorado (South Campus)1811 Plaza DriveHighlands RanchCO80129(720) 777-660011) Dr. Murphy-Zane has been a great doctor and champion for our daughter. Our daughter was born with bilateral cf and Dr. Murphy-Zane helped us feel comfortable and confident in the Ponseti treatment plan from the very beginning (prenatal consultation). She has explained each step along the way and has made sure our questions were answered. Our daughter had several sets of plaster casts, a bilateral tenotomy, and is now going strong in the bar and shoe. Dr. Murphy-Zane recently switched her to the Dobbs bar to help give her more movement freedom to help her sleep better at night. We were also given a variety of exercises to do at home to help strengthen and continue her great progress. Our daughter is currently 22 months old and is walking, running, and trying to jump, thanks to Dr. Murphy-Zane and her awesome team. We couldn't be happier with the treatment and care we've received. Dr. Murphy-Zane and team also donate our old ponseti shoes to those in need after our daughter has grown out of them. I would like to thank Dr. Murphy-Zane, her fantastic nurse, Kerry, and the wonderful PT, Amy, for everything they have done for our family. Elizabeth MoranNemours Childrens Specialty Care807 Childrens WayJacksonvilleFL32207(904) 697-360031) Performed surgery prematurely on complex/atypical case and recommended bracing would finish correction.
2) Performed achilliotenotomy before feet where corrected enough to do so. Would not acknowledge there was a problem. Created rocker bottom. Tried to immediately do a 2nd tenotomy after casts from the 1st were removed. A “common” clubfoot case turned into a severely atypical/complex situation that even Dr. Morcuende had difficulty correcting. Led to 3 additional surgeries and an additional 22 casts.
3) Dr. Moran practices on a team with Dr. Marielle Amoli and Dr. Laura Stunja. This means your child does not see, and is never casted by, the same doctor two visits in a row. My son was abducted to only about 40 degrees before the tenotomy was performed, and then the tenotomy cast was used for the additional abduction to 60 degrees. My son's foot came out of the tenotomy cast with a noticeable crease in the bottom. Dr. Moran told us it was fine, which it clearly was not. Dr. Stunja acknowledged at a followup appointment that it did not look quite right and was "a little tight," and set the abduction of the clubfoot down to 40 degrees, which is directly counter to the Ponseti method. Eventually we went to Dr. Dobbs, who confirmed the foot was complex and fixed it with four more casts and another tenotomy. (found via Google; deviates from Ponseti method; casting + tenotomy)
