Generally, there is no known relation between wearing the BnB (FAB/DBB) and any gross motor skills delay. Some kids do loads of skills early while bracing long hours in the first year, while others do things later while bracing less in the first year. The research suggests no difference between normal children and clubfoot children except for a 2 month increase in walking ages months for a small percentage of clubfoot children. This same study found that this delay had nothing to do with bracing.
It is possible that bracing for 23/7 for many months more than the typical first 3 could be the cause for delays, and in this stead we recommend gradually reducing hours over the first year instead of full time bracing for some arbitrary time frame based on pulling to stand or other variable milestone.
