Doctors and Physiotherapists who can Repair and Correct Complex and Atypical ClubFeet

The following is a listing of doctors who are known to have the skills necessary to correct complex clubfeet after previous doctors or caregiver has caused them to become complex. They are also known to be able to recognize atypical clubfeet at birth and use a modified Ponseti Method which is necessary for these very special feet.

Not all doctors are created equal.

And many are simply not skilled enough to correct atypical feet at birth. While others are grossly incompetent and do secondary deformity damage and cause the feet to become Complex. These doctors we hope to avoid, and if that hasn't happened, we hope to guide parents towards doctors who are known to have the skills required to correct the mistakes others have made.

The only time you should stick with a doctor who has caused the foot to become complex is if they recognize it immediately (and early, before major damage is done), and change their approach to use the modified Ponseti Method for Complex Feet, working towards correcting the secondary deformity. The information you need to help you know if your doctor or caregiver is following the Modified Ponseti Method for Complex and Atypical feet, is really by understanding what you're seeing during casting and comparing it to the facts and research that we are providing below.

Finding the right doctor for your child after damage is done is essential. However it is always best to educate yourself early so that you can recognize signs of something going awry sooner than later.

If you find yourself in a situation where you need a highly skilled doctor or caregiver who is known for being capable of correcting a complex or atypical clubfoot, the following names are good options.
