Once your child goes into bracing, there is a typical schedule your doctor will advise or prescribe.
Bracing can help increase your child's chances of success is essential for the success of your child through the bracing years.
The Ponseti Method describes bracing for 23 hours a day for the first three months. Then, best and most specialist prescribed schedule is a gradual reduction over the first year. This schedule is varied, but it is a gradual reduction to 12-14 for the duration of bracing which is 4-7y.
The gradual reduction is best described in a 2 hour per 2 month schedule. Some doctors drop to 18 hours after 23/7, and some drop to 16hr
This is an easy gradual reduction that gives your child a really great chance at not relapsing in the first year. And, potentially thereafter. We like to hope.
